I created three page spreads for a magazine about native plants. This was an exercise in the meaningful and deliberate use of a grid. I went through the process of researching, sketching and wireframing ideas, ultimately landing on a 6 column layout. By spanning multiple rows with photographs and breaking up the layout with pull quotes and captions, I was able to create distinct spreads using the same grid.
DISCLAIMER: This is a student project, I do not own the photos and text, my focus was the layout and composition.
